South Dakota Fun

Travis had a 3 WEEK BREAK from school at the end of August. So for the first week we went to South Dakota to visit his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. They had never met Lorelai. We had a lot of fun. Thanks to Travis' dad for helping us fly out there. Twenty-four hours in the car with a small child would have been miserable:)

South Dakota is so green and there are rows and rows of corn growing there. It was so amazing to me being a Nevada girl. The only other time I had been to South Dakota was in the winter so it was fun to see it all green and beautiful.
We loved getting to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma, Travis, and I would stay up late every night playing cards.
Lorelai ate corn on the cob for the first time. She watched grandma eat hers and needed to have one of her own. She actually did really good eating it.
Travis and Grandpa got this old little motorcycle up and running. It was so much fun to ride around. Travis and Grandpa raced the golf cart and the motorcycle down the road.

Grandma always made sure we were well fed. Lorelai loved all the snacks, especially the marshmallows:) We ate so much food while we were there. Every house we would go to would serve us a huge dinner. It was amazing the amount of food they would have. It was all so good too.
Lorelai loved playing with her girl cousins. They would carry her around everywhere and she didnt mind at all.
Going on a walk with cousin Presley. They are only 2 or 3 days apart.
Kisses bye bye. These two were so cute to watch together.
Uncle Mark was a good sport pushing Lorelai around. Lorelai loved this car so much that her daddy bought her one when we got home.

Lorelai would sit on a little tin by grandpa's chair and watch the TV with him. She liked to be close to him.
We went to the Zoo one day. It was rainy and a lot of the animals weren't out but we had a fun time. She loved the carousel the most.

It was so fun to see and meet so much family. Hopefully it wont be too long before we can make another trip out there.
