First 4th of July

We went back home for the 4th. While there we went to a pool party, a parade, saw hail and rain, and didn't watch any fireworks! Didn't think Lorelai would appreciate them much and let's be honest our small town fireworks are not that great.
The baby looked so cute and festive in her outfit from her Aunt Lindsey!!

Our trip home was Lorelai's first road trip. It's a 7 hour drive. Took us a little bit longer than that with stopping for feedings and a blow out...Lorelai of course, not a tire. She was a very good traveler though!
My road trippin' buddies!

Family Reunion

My grandparents rented a house this year for the reunion. We didn't spend a whole lot of time at the reunion since Lorelai was only a week old and Travis had school too. We wish we could have spent more time because the time we were there was lots of fun!
The pool was awesome! My nephews,Trey and Dean, had no fear jumping off the rocks!! And Travis was showin' off doing back flips:)
Here is all the June birthday kids. Welcome to the group Lorelai!! We celebrated with the traditional cake and ice cream.
Lorelai with her great grandma and grandpa. She is lucky and blessed to have these two special people in her life.
Four Generations!!

Going Home

We were discharged from the hospital on the afternoon of June 3rd. We really liked the hospital where I delivered and the nurses were really great too....but.... we were ready to go home and not be bugged every hour.

The baby's going-home outfit didn't fit. It was too big. So she just wore some cute pajamas home.  I think she was a little bummed she was not looking more stylish on her exit but I told her it didn't really matter we were just driving home after all...okay maybe that's what I told myself :)
All loaded up and ready to go home! Do we look tired or what!?!

She is Here!!

Our precious baby girl has arrived!! And here is how it all went down...
The morning of June 1st we went for what I was calling "a labor inducing walk". Here we are getting ready to leave.  Travis didn't believe the walk would work...but I was very hopeful. I wanted to meet our little girl. I really wasn't that uncomfortable I was just very anxious to meet my baby! So we went for a pretty long walk down to the park played, at the splash pad a little, and walked home.
About 3 o'clock that afternoon my water broke. I wasn't really sure what was going on. It wasn't the whole rush of water I was expecting...but after sometime I knew I had either lost all control of my bladder or my water had broke:) So we grabbed our bags...which thankfully we had packed the day before and we headed to the hospital! We were very excited/nervous/couldn't believe it was actually happening.
We got to the hospital and sure enough my water had broke. We were admitted and they started pitocin to get things moving. Here we are all checked in and ready to get the pain started :)
A short 12 hours later....sweet baby Lorelai was born!!! She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 19.5 inches long. She was 9 days early.
Finally get to snuggle my baby girl!

Travis and his baby girl... Immediately after she was born he went right over and watched as they weighed and measured her and cleaned her up. He never left her side....it was sweet!!
My mom and little brother were at the hospital too. I had called my mom when my water broke and they drove through the night to be there for her birth.
All clean after her bath! I love all of her hair :)
Our first family picture!!

We feel so blessed to have such a precious and healthy baby as a part of our family. We couldn't stop staring at her and we probably told her she was cute about a 100 hundred times!! We love her so much and already can't imagine life without her!

Baby Shower Take 2

In April we went back home and I had another baby shower. We got sooo much stuff!! The jeep was completely full of baby stuff on our way home.
My best friend's mom, Natalie, put on the shower. She did such a good job and it turned out so cute. My best friend is on a mission in San Diego right now.
My mom and me ...She gave me a beautiful blessing dress for the baby. I cant wait for her to wear it!

My cute sister in-laws and Grandma. They spoiled us with lots of stuff for the baby.

We played a few games at the party. Here I am smelling baby food and trying to guess which kind it is. I was horrible at this. I only got 1/10 right.
I have been friends with these girls since kindergarten. We used to play house with baby dolls all the time. Now it's time for me to put all that practice to good use!
Natalie made the baby this beautiful quilt! I love it. It is so soft and very beautiful. She is extremely talented at making quilts. I have always admired the quilts she has made and now I have one!! The baby will love it too :)
The food of course was delicious. My favorite part was the cheesecakes in a jar. So yummy:)

I had so much fun at the shower and I appreciate all the love and support that we have!
