Happy Valentine's Day From Lorelai

Lorelai sent out these Valentine's to grandparents and great grandparents this year.

I wish I could say that she loved putting paint on her hand and making a hand print but that would be a total lie. She screamed the whole time :)

I found the idea here

Scrap Paper USA Map

I made this fun scrap paper USA map to hang above Lorelai's play kitchen. Of course the Silhouette was used :) Each state is cut out of different pieces of scrapbook paper. Then I put it all together by taping the backs of the states together. Then I used spray adhesive to attach to the wood frame I had made. I love it.

Christmas Break 2014

Highlights of Christmas Break! We started the break off rough with some sickness and then we all got sick when we got home but thankfully we were healthy for Christmas!
Watching the cows with Aunt Jenae.
These three were watching some football. She says grandpa just like I used to when I was little. It was cute to hear her call my grandpa "paca" just like I used to. I didn't teach her that either. She did it all on her own.

Travis's family has a sugar cookie decorating contest every year.  I made a Mrs. Clause. The competition was stiff this year :)

Lorelai got a play kitchen from Santa and she loves it!

Breaking the Christmas Eve Pinata. She couldn't really swing the big stick so she would poke at the piƱata very gently with the stick. It was cute!

We spent a day in Reno having fun with Travis family: racing go karts, jumping on trampolines, and eating good food.

On the way home Travis said, "Oh ya I have a surprise for you". By now I know not to get my hopes up too much for these surprises :) For good reason, the surprise was some dusty binoculars he found in the garage. He said I could use them to watch for cops and tell him when one was coming.

Playing basketball with Uncle Tyler.

We went to a Holiday party for Travis's school and Santa showed up.

Four generations of girls. I am glad we took the time to get this picture. I hope Lorelai and I can be great women like my mom and grandma.

Playing Blocks with cousin Dean.

Pretty, Pretty Princess. This is right up her alley. She loves jewelry.

We had a great Christmas Break!

Holiday Plate Set

My creative friend had a great idea to make decorative plates for each holiday and give them as Christmas gifts. So we got together and with the help of the Silhouette, vinyl, and dollar store plates we made some really cute plates. After we were done we each wished we had made a set for ourselves.

You just change out the plate during different seasons. So cute, huh!

Reindeer Projects

A few Silhouette Projects I have been working on this winter, which by the way doesn't feel much like winter here in Vegas. I'll take the 60 degree weather right now but when it is 90 degrees in April I am not gonna be too happy:)

Baby Reindeer Sweater: A simple $5 target sweater embellished with a cute white and silver polka dot fabric cut in the shape of a baby deer. I love it and she looks really cute in it. I should probably take a picture of that :)

Reindeer Christmas Decoration: I used my silhouette to make a stencil and then I placed it on a canvas I had painted red. Next I spray painted it with gold glitter.

I added a little red and green Pom Pom garland in the corner to spice it up a bit.

A Reindeer Decorative Plate: I used another reindeer stencil made with the good ole silhouette and then sprayed painted it white. Then added a glitter ribbon bow.

He bought me flowers!!!

I came home to this lovely display the other night. Sweet right? Well it would have been if that was how you spell my name...but it's NOT. At first, I thought it was a joke. However, when I said, "Hey you spelled my name wrong." You could tell by the look of shock on his face that he wasn't joking. The funny thing is it was spelled wrong on the inside of the card too!
In his words: "Well that's a fail."

I will give him credit though the flowers and lemonades were for no reason other than wanting to be nice and say thanks for all you do. So even though my name was spelled wrong I should give him some credit right? I don't know though we have been married almost 7 years he should know by now:)

Jessie the Cowgirl

This year for Halloween Lorelai was Jessie the cowgirl from Toy Story. I made her costume which even required a little bit of sewing. At first she hated the costume and didn't want to wear it but after some "Daniel Tiger" bribery she wore it happily. She got to wear her costume three times: a church trunk or treat, dental school Halloween party, and Halloween night.
She loved her bucket. If she was in her costume she knew she couldn't leave the house without her bucket and would say "buck, buck" over and over.
She loved her little pumpkin that we picked out at the pumpkin patch. Her outfit wasn't complete unless she had her bucket and pumpkin.

Every time I tell her to smile for a picture she squats down. EVERY TIME :)
Eating a sweet tart candy. It was hilarious. She will eat sour patch kids by the fist full (much to her father's dismay) and not make a face. The sweet tart really got her though.
Halloween night, trick or treating with her cute little friend. Near the end she actually went up to a few doors and would hold her bucket out all by herself.
And of course was hyped up on candy and didnt want to go to sleep. Typical move.
Halloween Party with dental school friends. This was a Harry Potter themed party and it was amazing. The house it was at was decorated so cute. Here are some of the dental school kiddos.
We also carved pumpkins as part of Halloween week. Travis got really into as you can see. Lorelai loved coloring her little pumpkin and putting stickers on it.

We had a super fun Halloween week!
